Hamas is considered an offshoot of the Brotherhood. Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badie met Haniyeh at the group’s newly inaugurated headquarters in a Cairo suburb.

Hamas is was considered a terror group by Israel, the U.S. and EU, killing hundreds of Israelis in attacks, including suicide bombings. (Before Obama) the West insisted that before it deals with Hamas, the group must renounce violence, recognize Israel and accept existing peace accords. Hamas has refused.

Haniyeh described Hamas as the “jihadi movement of the Brotherhood with a Palestinian face.” He said his visit to the Brotherhood center would confuse and frighten Israel. “Our presence with the Brotherhood threatens the Israeli entity, ” Haniyeh said according to MENA.

Haniyeh said during his visit to the Arab League that reconciliation with Fatah is a “strategic” matter that should not be hindered by American and Israeli objections. Israel has said the closer Fatah gets to Hamas, the further it moves from a peace deal.

Time Magazine's "Person of the Year:" Arab Spring Protesters, No Really !!!

NEW YORK (The Blaze/AP) — “The Protester” has been named Time’s “Person of the Year” for 2011.

The selection was announced Wednesday on NBC’s “Today” show.

The magazine cited dissent across the Middle East that has spread to Europe and the United States, and says these protesters are reshaping global politics.

“From the Arab Spring to Athens, from Occupy Wall Street to Athens,” the cover says.

Last year, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg got the honor.

Time’s “Person of the Year” is the person or thing that has most influenced the culture and the news during the past year for good or for ill. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke received the honor in 2009. The 2008 winner was then-President-elect Barack Obama. Other previous winners have included Bono, President George W. Bush, and Amazon.com CEO and founder Jeff Bezos.

Time said it is recognizing protesters because they are “redefining people power” around the world. On its website, it even includes profiles of protesters, including multiple Occupy Wall Street occupiers.

However, it does seem odd that the magazine would honor such a “person.” Consider that thousands have been arrested in the Occupy movement, Arab Spring protesters in Egypt haveraped several female journalists, UK youths screamed “Off with their heads!” at Prince Charles, and Greek rioters have been filmed firebombing police.

In case you were worried that the Arab Spring would spread into Saudi Arabia – one of the last remaining bastions of common sense – and result in their letting those pesky women drive cars, fear not! A new “scientific report” from a group of Muslim scholars has clearly identified that such a risky maneuver is fraught with danger.

The startling conclusions were drawn by Muslim scholars at the Majlis al-Ifta’ al-A’ala, Saudi Arabia’s highest religious council, working in conjunction with Kamal Subhi, a former professor at the King Fahd University.

The report warns that allowing women to drive would ‘provoke a surge in prostitution, pornography, homosexuality and divorce’.

Within ten years of the ban being lifted, the report’s authors claim, there would be ‘no more virgins’ in the Islamic kingdom.

Well, we certainly can’t afford a massive sell-off in the virgin market. Not to mention the dangers of having gays running around wild, selling pornographic magazines to these female drivers when they pull up to a stop light. Divorced hookers! Dogs and cats living together!

None of this, of course, addresses the real issue which western readers doubtless spotted immediately. Once the accident rate goes through the roof, everyone’s auto insurance premiums will rise. This will take money out of the economy, depress productivity, and before you know it the King will be calling for a national mandate to own insurance.

It’s a slippery slope.

Arab Spring: Out with old, in with the…old ???

The success of the Egyptian revolution inspired a wave of uprisings across the region, but as Egyptians once again take to the streets to demand change, some experts are skeptical about the results of the Arab Spring.

Author and political commentator Mark Glenn told RT that many Egyptians do not believe that any significant changes will take effect as a result of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

“In general the system is going to remain the same. American foreign policy is going to remain the same. Israel’s foreign policy is going to remain the same,” he explained.

The journalist backs up his assertion by pointing to the fact that the first thing the new Egyptian government did after Mubarak’s removal was to ask the West for economic aid. “As soon as it did that it automatically surrendered itself and its ideals to Western interests.” Read More

Obama Administration Training Egyptian Islamists for Elections !!!

Ryan Mauro - If you want proof that U.S. policy towards the Arab Spring is fatally flawed, look no further than William Taylor, the State Department​’s Special Coordinator for Middle East Transitions and long associate of Muslim Brotherhood apologists. Taylor officially took charge on September 16 and oversees U.S. aid to countries affected by the Arab Spring, specifically Egypt, Tunisia and Libya.

Taylor’s office has been giving Egyptian Islamists training to prepare for the election contests that begin on November 28. He justified it by saying that the assistance is open to all parties and the U.S. wouldn’t pick sides. “Sometimes, Islamist parties show up, sometimes they don’t,” he said nonchalantly.

When asked how the U.S. would feel if the Muslim Brotherhood won Egypt’s elections, he said, “I think we will be satisfied, if it is a free and fair election. What we need to do is judge people and parties and movements on what they do, not what they’re called.” The answer seemed to infer that critics of the Brotherhood are needlessly alarmed by the name of the group.

It gets worse. Taylor compared the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood to Tunisia’s Ennahda Party, as if that is a positive example to follow. “As long as parties, entities do not espouse or conduct violence, we’ll work with them.” He said there is undue fear of the Islamists. “This is something that we are used to, and should not be afraid of. We should deal with them.”
