'Neighborhood nanny' arrested after witnesses report she chased kids through Oklahoma City street with knife

Relatives of Dismuke said she was defending herself, did not actually hurt anyone & should not have been arrested.  

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City police arrested a woman Tuesday who says she is the neighborhood nanny after they say she threatened kids with a knife. Officers said they received a 911 call around 8 p.m. Tuesday that a woman armed with a knife was chasing kids around a neighborhood in the 5200 block of Gaines Street. According to witnesses in the police report, Connie Ann Dismuke, 46, of Oklahoma City, was cursing at kids playing in the street. Witnesses said she was chasing some of them and swinging a knife. Officers say no children were injured. More
