Law enforcement in Arkansas and U.S. Marshals have Zander McCready in their custody and say that he is safe, according to our sources.
Officials say that his mother, Mindy McCready, was hiding in a closet with him when law enforcement entered the home in Heber Spings, Arkansas.
Family members say this is certainly a relief. But they also say they are torn for Mindy and Zander.
Right now, they don't know what will happen with Zander, but they are happy he is safe.
Mindy McCready's mother and stepfather, Gayle and Michael Inge, have been waiting for four days to hear the whereabouts of Zander.
Mindy McCready disappeared with him Tuesday after she took him from her dad's house in Cape Coral.
It's unclear at this time where Zander will be taken now that he is in custody. But we are working to get more information.
