Panicked 911 Recording: 66-Year-Old Guns Down Intruder, Kills Him

When somebody tried to break into Donna Hopper’s home in Northern California, the 66-year-old took matters into her own hands.

The 911 recording below depicts a panicked Hopper as she tells a 911 dispatcher she just shot an intruder who was attempting to climb through her window.

“Oh God,” she says. “I hope it’s nobody I know.”

Hopper did not know the intruder and was cleared of any wrongdoing, calling this a “textbook example of self-defense.”
