NYC Mayor Orders Evacuations of Sick, Elderly

Mayor Michael Bloomberg ordered mandatory evacuations of the sick and elderly and officials began preparations to shut down the nation's largest mass transit system, as Hurricane Irene increasingly appeared to be headed for New York City.
